converting back to natural gas!

I recently picked up a Carrier 58 MTB 100-16 from a person who was going to geothermal. They lived in rural area and the lp prices were killing them. I installed the orifices (#45) for antural gas, but am at a loss on adjusting the lo and high pressures on the valve. Does the regulator springs need replaced or can they be adjusted back to natural gas settings?

Hey Howard,

Unfortunately, you do need to change the springs on the valve. You cannot get to the correct pressures for NAT gas unless you change them. Often times, you just have to buy a new gas valve as furnace manufacturers do not sell many springs, and especially not for older units. There are a couple different gas valves for your unit and we would need the product # of your furnace (next to the model) to find which one you require. Best of luck!
